American Ninja 4: The Annihilation is a 1990 US martial arts film by Cedric Sundstrom (Pathe)
From cuts details on IMDb
The 1991 UK video version was pre-edited by the distributors to remove all footage of nunchakus and throwing stars, and then cut by a further 1 second by the BBFC to delete an ear clap.
Review from US Amazon: No Academy Award winner
Michael Dudikoff of ‘American Ninja’ 1 & 2 comes out of retirement to save David Bradley of ‘American Ninja’ 3 who is captured in Africa by a band of evil ninja’s. Say what you want but I love this movie. After all, who doesn’t love story’s where a few brave warriors defeat all odds and the enemy to save the day!
Obviously not an Academy Award winner, but who cares. This is a total guy film. A couple of buddies with a six pack or two and you’re good to go! Not to forget, the late Robin Stille is a very attractive addition to the story.

Bad Influence is a 1990 US drama by Curtis Hanson (MGM)
The 2003 DVD release was cut by 28s by the BBFC with the following comment: Compulsory cut to remove dangerous imitable technique.
The 1990 cinema release and 1991 video release from Entertainment in Video suffered similarly but implemented differently.
Thanks to Bleach, from cuts details on IMDb
- Removed “dangerous imitable technique” during the scene where Alex attempts to kill Michael by connecting the car lights to the petrol tank.
Review from US Amazon: Excellent
A movie that keeps you in suspense from it’s very beginning deserves to be called “excellent”.
Rob Lowe’s magnificent performance as a charismatic player is so convincing you may notice at the end that you have not even moved while watching it…
James Spader’s roll as a decent hard working professional who innocently finds himself, suddenly involved in a homicide case, is terrific as well. Love, sex, passion, hate…and even murder are perfectly combined in this movie…
Highly recommended…

Black Candles is a 1982 Spain horror film by Jose Ramon Larraz (Redemption Films)
Cut by 5s when submitted in 1995.
From cuts details on IMDb
- Cut to remove a shot of a man being stabbed between the buttocks by a sword during a torture scene.
Review from US Amazon: Sexploitation
A poor horror film with even worse cliched ending, why the 3-star rating then? Simple. If you’re looking for sexploitation in a satanic cult-themed horror film, you’ve hit the jackpot with BLACK CANDLES. It is surprisingly wall-to-wall sex-scenes (have your finger on the fast-forward button ready when the ‘tender love scene’ involving a goat appears).
Overall, 3-stars. But honestly, add 1-star on the strength of BLACK CANDLES alone if you enjoy softcore in your horror. Subtract 1-star from the 3-star rating if you actually want a good horror film with a decent ending that doesn’t jerk you around.

Living Doll is a 1990 UK horror film by Peter Mackenzie Litton/George Dugdale (MGM/UA Video)
Cut by 13s when video submitted in 1990
Thanks to Bleach:
- At 22 mins -Reduce to establishment only, scalpel incisions into dead woman’s neck, and remove entire pulling back of skin to reveal flesh.
- At 86 mins – When transvestite dances with breasts bared before young man who stabs towards camera, remove all sight of slashed bleeding neck.
- At 88.5 mins – When ghoulish couple taunt young man holding gun, remove close ups of decomposed breasts exploding when fired at.
Review from US Amazon: Very Weird
Don’t expect some type of slasher flick, but what you can expect is a sick twisted love story of a man in love and living with a corpse as it rots, he imagines the corpse talking to him as he cooks for it buys it clothes sleeps with it (not sexually , he does make out with it one time).
Overall the plot is good but at several points does drag and get boring but it still remains very weird.

Update: Lost Footage
See article from shocktillyoudrop.com
The definitive 2009 Special Edition region 1 DVD is available at US Amazon for release on 13th Jan 2009
Fans may balk that the new disc is not definitively uncut as it still lacks a few oft-rumored shots. Sadly, those choice bits have indeed been declared MIA as director George Mihalka discovered when he was asked to do a director’s cut roughly six years ago. We went through the vaults and found out all of that negative has corroded or disappeared. What the DVD, furthermore the new print of the film, contains is the remaining salvaged footage found in producer John Dunning’s storage space.
There was a scene with the two kids in the mine and they’re joined together forever, Mihalka chuckles citing one still excised sequence. There was a whole set up scene to that. They’re just necking and Tom’s lying on top of [Harriet] and the miner comes in and puts the [drill bit] through him. She’s got her eyes closed and thinks he’s just being a little frisky. She opens her mouth and her eyes just as he bleeds into her mouth. Then the miner goes whoomp! And [skewers] them both . That scene had to be taken out totally. It has disappeared and we’ll never see it.

Expose is a 1975 UK video by James Kenelm Clarke and is also known as House On Straw Hill.
Filmmaker/DVD producer David Gregory, gave Fangoria the scoop on a new disc he’s working on for Severin Films: We’ve picked up the rights to EXPOSÉ, a.k.a. HOUSE ON STRAW HILL, with Udo Kier and Linda Hayden.
The 1976 chiller, written and directed by James Kenelm Clarke, stars Fango fave Kier as a writer who retreats to a remote house in the British countryside to work on his new novel, accompanied by a secretary (Hayden) who turns out to have a dark side.
We will most likely release the DVD under the U.S. HOUSE title, Gregory says: though it’s better known to me and my UK-based Severin partner Carl Daft as EXPOSÉ, the title under which it was banned in England. We have a soft, nostalgic spot for any film that was tagged as a ‘Video Nasty’ in England in the ’80s. HOUSE was always one of the rarest, sleaziest and, well, nastiest of the bunch.
We’re delighted to be putting it out with a new transfer from the original, uncut negative, and a featurette and commentary are already in the can. The featurette includes the delightful Linda Hayden, who has, up until this point, been curiously silent about her participation in this notorious film.
All UK video versions from 1997 to the Village Entertainment version of 2006 have suffered the same 51s of BBFC cuts.
- Two country boys threaten Linda Hayden with a shotgun and force her to have sex with each of them. The scene goes on for a long time and the guys are shown to be clearly enjoying it whilst the woman rubs her hand up and down the shotgun in a very suggestive manner. The fact that she manages to shoot them both didn’t appease the BBFC who cut almost the entire scene.
- Also a scene showing Fiona Richmond getting murdered in the shower has been reduced to eliminate blood on the breasts.

How are we expected
to know how old she is? |
The appalling Coroners and Injustice Bill just published includes a provision to criminalise any images of people apparently aged less than 18 years old.
How people can be criminalised for drawings or cartoons etc for non real representations above the age of consent is beyond me. It is not as if there is any justification via claiming exploitation of real young people.
The Dangerous Cartoons law is based up the Dangerous Pictures act where possession of pornographic (non photographic) images is criminalised in the same scale of up to 3 years in jail. Similar defences are also available such as per the Dangerous Pictures Act. (Unknowing possession, BBFC certification etc)
(Note that real photos and pseudo photos are excluded because a more serious offence already exists and is more widely defined to include merely indecent pictures)
